Action Builds Confidence — Not the Other Way Around

When you start out online, you have no experience.

I know that’s an obvious statement.

You don’t know if anything will work for you.

You have heard all the stories about what can be achieved.

But you don’t actually know for sure if you can emulate the success of other marketers.

All you can do is follow some kind of plan hoping that it will work.

Then when you get your first sale online, you know that it can work for you.

That’s a little bit of confidence.

And that gives you the incentive to keep going.

Then you get a few more sales and your confidence starts to build, now you are on your way.

Confidence comes after action, not before.

Start small.

Write one email to your list, even if it’s just ten people.

Record a five-minute video.

Make a low-priced offer just to test the waters.

You’ll learn more from actually doing that one thing than you ever will from spending days and weeks reading stuff and dreaming.

Here are some simple steps you can take today:

Choose one business model and stick to it.

Affiliate marketing, coaching, drop shipping, they all work, but not at the same time.

Pick one and commit for 6 months.

Get clear on your first tiny goal.
Don’t aim to make $10K a month in your first few weeks. Instead, focus on getting your first sale, then perhaps $500 a month, then $1000.

Remember Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Limit your learning time.
Give yourself say 30 minutes of learning per day max. The rest of the time should be spent implementing, doing stuff that directly relates to revenue.

It’s the doing that gets the sales and gets the money coming in.

Perfectionism Kills Businesses
Don’t waste hours getting everything “perfect”

I know one very successful marketer whose products I have bought, sometimes contain spelling mistakes or poor grammar. But that doesn’t matter, because the content is absolutely first class.

I’m not saying offer poor quality products.

But don’t worry too much about small things.

Make the offer even if it’s not perfect.

You’ll improve by doing, not by sitting on the sidelines.

Doing stuff, trying things out, even if they don’t work at first, is the only real way to learn what works for you and what doesn’t.

Enthusiasm might get you started, but it’s the habit of consistent action that keeps you going and allows you to achieve your goals, whatever they are.
